Commons-Blog Update

It is a great pleasure to announce a new link has been added to www.civichonors.com. Civic Honors has linked the Commons-Blog for some time and it is a truly enjoyable source of information and rhetoric. Make sure you check out the Commons-Blog it is an definitely an interesting read.

If you are not familiar with the project this is what they have to say about the history of the project, “The American Library Association's Office for Information Technology Policy is engaged in a number of initiatives to promote and support the information commons. info-commons.org is one such initiative, and we hope to use the site to keep you informed about other work in support of the commons.” I truly enjoyed the idea that the American Library Association is interested in the development of online information exchange. This has always been a primary research interest of the Civic Honors Institute and should prove to be worth reading well into the future.

Evidently editor Frederick Emrich noticed our continued problems with Weblog comment spam. Even noting that the highest frequency of the Weblog spam comes from those individuals interested in the sale a certain Pfizer product. The Webmaster has used everything from Jay Allen’s spam destruction project, "MT-Blacklist," and various other MT tips and tricks on the subject. If you have any ideas on how to plug the leak in the dam before it floods the valley please feel free to opine.
